NEW! SimpliCity now offers several visual styles. You can switch between the three at any time while playing.

Classic

The original look from the 1980s version of the game: pixel-art buildings and terrain, with the shaded, dotted texture typical of that era. The dithering was reduced just enough to make it easier on the eyes on modern screens.

Modern

Mostly the same buildings as Classic, but with the dithered shading smoothed out for a cleaner look, especially at higher resolutions. Terrain, roads, rails, power lines, and moving vehicles are redrawn in full color.

Deluxe

Every building is redrawn procedurally at a larger, more detailed size, along with the terrain and roads. It also adds a few small animated touches, like lights on the fire and police stations and smoke from factories.
